My Thoughts on Antoinette Tuff’s Compassionate Actions (Sojourners)

Last night, as I listened to news coverage of the armed intruder incident in a school near Atlanta, it occurred to me how school bookkeeper Antoinette Tuff’s compassionate and courageous actions stood in stark contrast to the “guns vs. guns” mentality often suggested as a measure of school safety.  I typed up some of my thoughts and submitted them to Sojourners Magazine for their online blog.  They made my post public this morning at the following link: How Antoinette Tuff Showed the Solution is Not More Guns in Our Schools.  I know this is a touchy issue for some.  The post is my personal perspective as a teacher and a Christian.  It is, of course, your choice whether to consider it or not.
